Cluster lit up like a Christmas Tree
'88 Jag XJ6 3.6L
My cluster had been replaced by the P.O. some time in the past, and I'm guessing its not hooked up quite right.
1) oil pressure digital readout sometimes randomly reads 0. Usually it reads 0 for about 10 minutes and then continues to function.
2) ABS, low brake pressure, low brake pad, and bulb failure lights all blind me while I drive. Brakes and A.B.S. all seem to function, pads were supposedly changed a few weeks before I bought it- I think the rears may be down though. Been taking my time picking up the front-right bumper corner from the girl I bought the car from, so maybe that's where the bulb failure deal is coming from.
3) speedometer is about 10mph faster than your true speed.
4) is there any way to calibrate the mileage on the new cluster? The car has about 180k miles, and the cluster reads like 260k. Not really a big deal, but just wondering
Thinking of just removing the warning lights unless its a simple fix, since the car is actually mechanically sound.
Thanks in advance!
