Lots of good news so far and a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I did as much as I could to get my freeby '90 XJ40 running, however I quickly realized I was in over my head with mutiple diagnostic issues -- so it went to my mechanic.

Multiple problems were rust/crud in gas tank (thought I got it all, but I was incorrect), debris clogging the fuel line, fuel pump that barely worked, clogged fuel filter, 3 bad injectors and a blocked catalytic converter.

Looking good so far (parts cheaper than I thought), and I think it should be running by the end of this week! Beyond my skills to get her running by myself but my mechanic is good and the glass is now over half full of the good stuff! I'll post some pics later this week when (keeping my fingers) it is finally home!
