Default Front Left Door Latch Assembly Swap Out

Hello All. Anyone ever had any issues swapping out a door latch assembly? A small plastic piece on my current driver door latch assembly broke and those white plastic lever pieces(connect rods to inner handle) are indefinitely attached to the in-door end of the door latch assembly. Really weird how plastic piece could snap in half huh? lol... Whats nice is I can see how the part is suppose to look from pics on ebay so I should be good to go. And I have a great used handle to start fresh when i get the door latch. Any advice on the swap out is welcome. Thanks again, CG

From my own experience on my 92 it is an easy although fiddly job.

Be careful not to break the very fine wires leading to the micro switch on the exterior door handle.

Reconnecting the rods up inside the door around the handle, may give rise to a few choice words.
