good idea or bad? (why and why not)?

ive been noticing a slight fart type smell for a while now and inside of the car gets really warm even when the heaters are off, and the AC doesnt really make a difference.

the cat is hot but the exhaust after it is ice cold, after just a trip around the block just now.

slight loss of power.

 

Don't gut it, eliminate it with a straight pipe and cash it in for $100
