I just did a drain/filter and refill on my '91. The pan was very clean no sediment at all. I did, however, find some extremely fine gray material on the magnets. When I wiped it off it looked like gray grease. I'm assuming this is metal of some sort (as it was stuck to the magnets) question is, how much is too much and should I be worried? There were no 'particles' large enough to feel it was just a small amount of gray sludge. Unfortunately I don't know when the last service was done. My inclination is not to worry about it and see what it looks like at the next service. The transmission seems to be operating properly. What do you all think?

Don't sweat it the friction plates are going to loose some material over time no matter what. If you weren't finding chunks in there and the transmission is behaving, I wouldn't give it a second thought.
