Default Legit CL posting?

Spouse sent this listing to me for a 1991 6-cylinder.

Is it legit? $1500?

Have you all in different parts of the USA seen the same ad?

TIA

I would believe it. It's a very good deal, but the value has fallen way off on these cars. They just don't command the price they are worth. Now is probably the time to buy into the XJ40 model if it strikes your fancy. They are probably at the lowest point they will ever see in their value.

This is the normal cycle for older cars. Their selling price slow trims down to a bottoming out point and then slowly begins to rise. You will find the Series 3 and XJS have pretty much hit bottom price-wise and are just beginning to climb in price; however, the climb is much, much slower than the fall.

Just my thoughts.

I bought mine for 180 british pounds. about $300 i guess. It wasn't running because of the faulty park/neutral switch. Got one from a scrap yard for next to nothing so all in all it stands me at around £250. I reckon it might cost me another £100 or so to get through the M.O.T then i'm on the road! Awesome car for very little money.
I'm gonna drive it for a year and sell it to get a better one.
