the good ol' 4.0 head finally went to pieces today..... didnt feel like getting a head rebuild because there is tons of 4.0's online. My question is will a 96 4.0 fit in my 90 Jag?

 

that head comes easily and a rebuild is not that expensive.. i dont think it can fit..

 

Anyoen knwo where i can grab a remanufactured head? would be simple to put a head in thats not tapping with a broken valve spring .

'96 engine will not fit, even a '94 is different. You have to go '90-'93 for the same short block and head. Make sure the injectors are the same (check color band), or swap them back from the bad engine. I can build you a head if you need one. If the car is already off the road, you can just as well have a local machine shop go through it.
