Hi everyone,
Oh Boy, what have I gotten myself into this time< yuk yuk. Just purchased a 1989 xj6 3.6 engine, sounds like typical issues for this car are present.
Headliner falling off, low brake pad indicator, abs failure indicated, washer fluid low (not) indicated, fast then slow turn signals indicated, etc etc. Very excited to get into this car. Its an inspected till 09 of 2013 Pa, spent its life in a garage, non rust bucket, high mileage 144000, beautiful Jag. If its anything like my almost finished 71 Triumph Spitfire MK4, I will certainly have my hands full for a while. Anyone within central Pa experienced with these issues, feel free to post. Welcome JW. Don't forget to introduce yourself in the Introductions section of the forum as well! As you say, you've got some niggles to work out; but if you hack away at it slowly and systematically, I'm sure you can get them sorted. Just be sure your brakes are in fact in good working order - we'd hate to have you crash into something! I did my headliner last year, and honestly it was pretty straightforward and only cost the materials - maybe 50 bucks.
I also know that ABS sensors can crap out, thus triggering the fault. I'm sure others will chime in in time...
Cheers and welcome!

Should be a breeze after fixing up a Triumph Spitfire.
