OVERHEATING, plz help!
Hello, I've owned my 93 XJ6 for a few years now and havent really had any problems with it except a few electrical nonsense. At the end of this past summer it started to run warm after about an hour of driving. It did need a new thermostat and thermostor, at which point I also replaced the coolant expansion tank because I started to notice the coolant fizzing out the seam between the top and bottom of the tank. Ever since then my coolant light has been on and I cant figure out how to get it off. But my major problem is that I have NO IDEA why it's still running warm. Even the other day I started it up for a half an hour and when I went back out it was a notch above the normal operating temp. I'm really concerned and hope it's not a head gasket because I noticed a small oil leak again and again from the front passenger side of under the engine block since I parked it at the end of this fall. I remember reading somewhere if catalytic converters werent replaced in the 90K mile range the possibility of a head gasket blowing was good. I dont know if that is true?? Mine has 94,600 miles right now. It wont be taken out again until the spring but I'd really appreciate any sort of advice and/or help on this subject! Thank you all again!

RE: OVERHEATING, plz help!
Yes the cooling fan is working fine. But to make matters worse I went out to my garage tonight to see how much more oil had leaked and it really isnt anything. HOWEVER...I was speechless to see coolant EVERYWHERE sporadically splattered on my floor. I couldnt believe it and when I popped the hood to see what happened I saw that the BRAND NEW coolant tank I just replaced in august had cracked open enough to leak out a lot of coolant. I filled a little back in and just watched it ooze right back out. I am so annoyed right now and I cant even do anything about it until April. I plan on calling Welcshe Enterprise tomorrow who sold me the Jag tank and thery're going to hear it tomorrow...but this still doesnt solve why it was running warm before when that new tank was perfectly fine. I planned on selling this car this spring too in hopes I wouldnt have to put much more money into it..there goes that plan. Any help or advice is appreciated!
