Rear Driver side window in an 88

Rear Driver side window in an 88

all of my windows work except for the rear driverside window. I can hear a click when I depress the button but there's no movement. What could it be?

a bad relay, bad wiring connections, or the motor Brushes.

Wehad the same problem on ours, try just taking off the door panaling. We took ours off and found out some dumbass mechanic worked on the door handle under the panaling, but unplugged a wire for the window, so it was a simple plug it in solution and our window worked.

Okay so i sorta removed the door panel and noticed that the bottom of the motor looked corroded, so I suspect that water ran down the window and into the regulator, eventually shorting it out or i don't know what. Is there a write up on removing the rear driverside window regulator?

I'll check for you, i doon't know anything off the top of my head. i'll look in my book on Xj40s, and also I'm going to the dealer today for my rust, so I will ask about the iwndow there for you
