there is a round button type under the gas peddle it has electric wires going to it and even a cutout in the floor mat

i have pressed it several times and noting happens or comes on.

so what is it and what is it for??

I believe it is for kick down operation I mean when you floor it it helps the tranny descend 2 shifts down therefore you get better acceleration
