Has anyone fitted a 123 IGN distributor, in particular to the 4.2 injected series 3. What are the pros and cons. Is there any benifit

 

read lots of good stuff here about the pertronix dizzy, i was going to buy one 2 weeks ago from ebay.us but was over $300 landed plus the coil, the current exchange rate is not in our favour at this time. I had been chasing an intermittent miss for a while that was cured by replacing the ignition amplifier

 

I've heard good things about the 1-2-3 ignition but it was years ago. I don't remember any specifics

Yeah, either 123 or Pertronix will be better than a worn out original. And electronic over point and condenser a definite plus.
