Welcome Aboard Sue, as Clarke has said go to New Member Section where you'll get info and a warm welcome, meanwhile I will add you to the NSW Roll.....follow the link below for local events.etc.....
I have both these service manuals plus the Haines one. The orange one is a shaved down copy of the Maroon one. I like to have hard copy to work from.
I paid $20 for the orange one & $50 for the maroon one.

I thought I'd turn the key over and the motor turns over. I had some 'start ya *******' but I don't know where to spray it as I'm not familiar with starting cars with SU carbs, so that's where the forum will come in handy to provide guidance on little hints like that and others...
So firstly, whereabouts do I spray 'start ya *******' into the SU carbs?
Cheers Sue
Never used the product myself, but I would assume you remove the air filter cover and air filter, then lift the piston with your finger and give it a good dose.

Thanks for the links. Much appreciated.
I gave it a shot last night with "SYB" but unfortunately while I pressed down on the accelerator pedal, I think the cable snapped? Why do I think this...well I looked at the cable from the engine side and it seems kinda slack and the pedal is just lying against the floor...oh well, better it happens now than while driving.
