Default 83 S3 compression reading

Remotely probing an '83 XJ6. Owner claims 200K Miles, with compression reading 115/115/120/130/115/120. Says running but needs a "strong tune up". Worth considering? Or walk away? Never owned a Series 3, thus asking for your advise.

Paul:

1. Lots of variables.
A. True or fake numbers.
B. If a USA car, "lower compression ratio", not bad at all.
C, If a Euro car, a bit weak, but lottsa miles....
D. The numbers are close, cylinder to cylinder. That is good.

2. I've no idea as to what a "strong tune up" is. Too subjective for comment.

3. The suggestion of #2 implies, it doesn't run all that well.

4. Is the seller willing to have a qualified mechanic of your choice examine the car ?

5. O'wise, is the rest of the car worth a major engine rebuild ?
