hello, i was recently in a minor acident and damaged the front of my jag. my jag. is the 1985 xj6. i have found a good deal to replace the front hood, grille and bumper but there is a catch. these parts are from a 1978 xj12. would anyone out there know if the 2 cars are compatible with each other. mainly with the parts listed above . thank you so much for your time. cheers kerry

 

What about parts from an 86?

 

I would say the body panelsshould fit as they're stillfrom a series 3 XJ, whetherit's a6 or a12...But don't quote me on that as I run a '40!!!
