I have a 85 xj6 sovereign, long story short it needs to go over the. Pits, took first inspection and all was great except clean some oil off the engine and a small crack on one of the headlights. The crack it about the size of a 20c piece but they won't pass it till its sorted.

My question is does anyone know if there is a way to repair such things to a standard that will pass the pits or does anyone know anywhere I can get a new headlight from, iv been you have to replace the whole thing., I'm in Perth by the way. Anyone selling one or know a reliable jag parts dealer or wrecker in Perth?

 

Waaaay back when i had S3's, teh outer headlight was a H4 halogen, and a standard style beam unit. The HX, and HZ Holden Kingswood had the same headlight, mmmmm.

Failing that, check out the numerous "halogen beam unit conversion kits", still available via the likes of Narva (used them on the S2 and S3 cars), so any of your reputable Auto parts mobs could help here. Check out Repco, Autobarn, etc.

If its the inner unit, again a standard 5 3/4" unit used on many, many cars here in Oz.

Neither of the headlights are Jaguar specific, so any 7", or 5 3/4" beam unit will fit and work.
