I know that it would be obvious to say no, but my parts wholesaler does not list a cable for my XJ12C. On my XJ12C, the cable was replaced with what looks like a Gerry rigged mess that is now sticking pretty badly.

The XJS V12 cable is completely different and the XJ6 cable kind of looks the same, but I'm concerned about the length and end fitting.

If someone has replaced their recently, I'd like confirmation.

 

Surely you need to look at the Series 3 XJ12 cable, the one for the XJ6 goes to the throttle body on the RH side of the engine, so I would think is a completely different length, apart for end fittings.

AFAIK, the central capstan in the middle of the V where the cable fixes to, is used on Series 3 V12s, and would be the the same. Jaguar always tried to use existing parts on new models to save money. I may be wrong though.

Thanks Frazer, unfortunately, the problem is that no XJ12 cable is listed and they never sold a SIII V12 in the US. I did find out that it was the wrong cable.
