Default Breather

i hate to bring out memories that ive successfully supressed but i do have a question regarding the breather fiasco i endured over the summer.

i attempted to clean the breather, broke studs, drilled em out and put everything back together with the utmost care.

we just noticed a slight oil leak under the breather casing.

how will i know if the gaskets were compromised?
i didnt use any type of gasket sealant which i know am beginning to regret.
could it be a clogged screen even though i had it off and cleaned it a few months ago?

Doubtful that it's actually glogged after such a short period.

Only way to tell if a gasket was injured is by removing the breather.

If the leak isn't too bad I'd live with it. Just wipe it off from time to time. New gaskets and a good gasket sealer would probably fix the problem but that makes more work the next time you go to clean the breather....about every 12 months or so.

Cheers
DD
