Suggestions
The plastic on mine cracked and when I pulled the cable out a bunch of broke. Metal and black bits fell out. I can't believe it's been running this smooth.
I see a wide range of replacements online. Does it matter which one I go with?

Yes, it makes a difference

Looks like you have a late Ser II 4.2 with fuel injection and OPUS ignition. I think you need a Lucas DLB102 or equivalent. Others with chime in.

I think the original Jag number was BHA5257
