Default Cold start problems

Hi,

Just bought a 1978 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 manual.
Car has very little mileage done and has been in storage for the last two years.

Car runs perfectly well once warmed up but wont start when cold.
The only way to get her going is to pur petrol directly into carburretor pot and she will fir up immediately.

Wonder is there a problem with the automatic choke???

Help!!

The S2 AED is a ficklle beat right from new.

Depending on the carbies fitted, HS8. HD8, Strombergs, will determine the ease of such a conversion.

A am sure SU Midel (the SU Guru's down here) are in the UK, and will certainly have the answers for a choke conversion.
