Default Door Window Lift Solenoid

exploring the door interiors, while the back doors lock with the silver flick tab by the handle the front ones have always appeared stuck. i figured this might be another reason the electric central locking doesnt work.

what i found seemed odd-

with the handle unit unscrewed the locks work find, clicking back and forward with the tab flicker as they should, but reattached the huge door lift solenoid actually blocks against and jams the locks' backs.

i assume this is the result of a previous owner's alterations or adjustments and not as it was intended to operate.

The lock solenoids ARE adjustable fore-n-aft and the 'throw' of the action has some slack. Just loosen the two mounting bolts and you can find the sweet spot

And/or the linkages are binding for some other reason. Bent somehow, perhaps?

Cheers
