Details, please.

When you say "door lock" are you talking about the electric door lock? Or....Key cylinder where you lock/unlock with the key? Or the little paddle thingy next to the door handle that you flip to lock/unlock the doors?

And "not working" means what, exactly?

Give us something to work with

Cheers

Default jag door locks

Thanks for the reply. not sure if it the auto door locks or the key cyl in the drivers door. the left front driver door will not unlock the others seem fine. have not removed the door panel as of yet. not familiar with jaguars so its a learning experience.

If the door won't unlock at all....from the inside or outside.....then removing the door trim panel will take some effort. But it's doable. I know because I've done it. Let me know if you need some tips on that.

As often as not the linkages and the latch mechanism itself just need a through cleaning with WD40, aerosol brake wash, or similar....followed up by whatever your favorite aerosol lubricant is.

I had one where the latch mechanism itself was broken and refused to let the door open through any normal means. I was able to fiddle around and 'trip' the latch, though. I replaced it with a good used one.

Ah, yes.

When my car came to me circa 2001, the lock cylinder on the passenger door would not move. But, the driver door lock cylinder worked reasonably
well. But on a separate from the ignition key. Prior issue resolved by a PO.

But a few months ago, the lock cylinder in the driver door has gone tango up. Loose as a goose nd does zip. Luckily, the door opens and closes just fine.

The door card is symptomatic of a prior intrusion. Removal ? Probable fix ?

Deferred !!! So much other stuff and weather is not helping!!!
