No, but certainly an interesting idea. Not necessarily new as I think one or more modern cars do it that way. which, I dunno.
However done, it will need a larger battery, larger alternator and bigger wiring!!
Method 1: Motor drives the rack as directed by a control on the Jaguar steering column.
Method 2. The GM/Jaguar or most any other hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor.
Method 3. Electric stepper motors controlled by seitching on the jaguar steering column.
Why???
