True. Durn it. Although, because of it's lousy headlights, My Jeep might well flunk the Texas brake and lights exam. Time to polish the lens' some more and spray on some clear.

Well, 75 has been the cutoff date for SMOG inspects for old cars here.
Rare compromise. Moved up to 81, but takes effect in 2018. Gotta get in some more licks. I was hoping my 83 would make the cut. it seems it didn't and I am not sure I will !!! I'm 87 in 18 days!!! Wow, and I'm getting to feel the years...

I do, indeed! Thanks !!

Too young for WWII, but close!!

Aircraft of one kind or another fly over here regularly. East bound jets from Oakland or San Francisco. High enough so the noise is not a problem.

Civilian general aviation craft from close by Buchanan at Concord a bit lower,
but within my decibel challenged tolerance, so, OK...

And choppers. Cop and Medivac. Defintely OK and usually short lived.

BUT!!! one day a bit ago, different noise . I had to look and hear!!!
Yup, A B17.

One of the "classiest" air craft ever built.

Thanks again for sharing.
