1. Seems logical. Little black plastic rectangle with no attaching link. In situ security mostly gravity!!
2. Unless you are a purist or close to it, I see no harm in leaving it bare.
3. If no one here has a spare, I am sure David Boger at Everydayxj can come up with one. But, he may prefer to keep the boxes compete with tops.
4. I'd be tempted to make one, were I concerned. I am not.

Hi iramphal,
I replaced my cracked one a couple of years ago quite easily off fleebay.
Part number is AEU1568
I did note that there were opaque white and black ones available.
The black one that I purchased looked pretty much new old stock and it cost me $5 Aussie. The postage was more than the item.
