hello
I just joined the forum today. I purchased a 1974 xj12
a couple of months ago at a local auction for $300
The car is in very good shape with only 23,000 original miles on it. has been setting in dry storage since 1979
in the process of changing all hoses and belts and rebiulding 4 carbs.I do have a question concerning the fuel pumps. Can I run two modern fuel pumps in place of the ones that are dry rotted and not working.

RE: hello
hello, I'm new too. Do you mean 2 NEW pumps of the same type and calibration or do you mean 2 NEW aftermarket one-size-fits-all pumps? My advice would be to stick to the original-style and calibration of pumps, but by all means, install 2 new ones, I understand you can get better pumps nowadays, while retaining the same pressures, calibrations, and type of pump.
