Intro: Phoenix based XJ6
Pulled some more parts from the junk yard.
I'll be posting a video shortly, but here is where im defiantly going to be needing some guidance.
Can any one show me, through photo or explain in detail how to find the Coolant temperature sensor. due to my general "novice" level of mechanical skill i'm not really sure which one if the water rail, I was only really ware of the fuel rail. So anything more indepth or a photo of its location will be TONS of help.
Thanks again everyone!

The coolant rail is on the right side of the engine, running alongside the right hand cam cover. The ignition coil is mounted to it.
The coolant tmep sensor for the fuel injection system is the third sensor from the front

Here's a pic that may help. I have the Adobe PDF of the wiring book this pic is from-- I found it on the net awhile back from a forum link. Can't remember the site it came from but I can send it if you want, just PM me.

It's an awfully long time since I had an XJ6 Series 3, but I can remember fitting up the engine in 1994. The coolant temperature transmitter for the fuel injection is quite a large piece of kit, (about the size of an injector), and has a plug on top of it that looks very similar to the plug that goes on an injector. It screws into the water rail situated on the inlet side of the engine. The water rail bolts onto the top of the inlet manifold.
There is another piddling little temperature sensor for the engine temperature gauge with a sinlge "Lucar" blade-type connector on the top of it.
Hope this helps
