In need of some help if possible,

so bought myself a jaguar xic manual, coupe.


just completing a small restro on it. car was with another mechanic and the donut managed to crack the gearbox holding plate nut.
I have attached picture.

Iam looking for this part. and not had a lot of luck. at a decent price.
there is one for sale on eBay.co.uk, but at £1000.
I need another option.

all help is appreciated.

 

Bring it to an aluminum welder and weld on a new boss from an aluminum rod or square stock then drill and tap. Would cost 50 To 80 dollars around here.
