Default Jaguar Classic Parts modern radio

Just wanted to pass this along. Jaguar has a radio available for our cars with modern technology. Navigation, Bluetooth, etc designed to look at home in a classic Jaguar. But .... the price is over $1500. They have different style faceplates for E-types, etc. They also have a new toll kit for E-type that is cool but also very expensive.

Oi vey, so much money!

Sure looks nice, though.

It's hard finding a radio that looks right for a Jaguar. Most go for the "Tokyo at night' with multi-color graphics and all sort of glitz......and are difficult to use.

Cheers

I know people who might pay that for a Period Correct modern radio but I'm not one of them.

The radio in Nix only plugs the hole. It never worked since I got the car, speakers weren't even plugged in nor was power connected. This is fine with me, I don't use radio even when they work in my other cars.

As SARC once posted here, "I dislike a radio in my cars. They only cover the sounds of stuff going wrong."

I saw this red thing laying on the road. I stopped and picked it up. It's a Shifter ball !

it has a threaded hole that can only be for a floor shifter arm.

I polished all the scratches and it is absolutely pretty!

I'm addicted to car noises. The ones from the radios. My early cars had no such. Our family 38 Dodge did!! AM, super heterodyne. Stations limited. Except for a 50,.000 watt country station broad casting from Mexico??

At last, circa 1950, first of the really good cars that came my way. 47 Ford V8 tudor…slick push button radio!!!!

Alas, ,y budget dids nmot stretch for a radio and heater for the MG TD. 2nd Looey pay only went so far...

Then, company furnished cars bare bones, no radios... Long miles to drive. Most of us adopted "junk yard radios, cheap. but, 6v for 12 v cars ??? A couple of ways to make them work. Neither ideal, but effective...

Jaguar radio is quite decent, albeit oddly placed. Jeep's good, but too fawncy… Unnededded bells and whistles...

Since getting the two "mellowtone" mufflers installed on my car, that's the only music I listen to. Granted my Florida weather is different from most of yours, as I can run with the window open most of the time (except when it's raining, of course).
