My Jag just cannot hold it's alcohol !
Yes, my car just cannot hold her drink! A year ago I found the fuel lines from the tanks to the pumps were weeping ever so little. Not a lot - nothing on the floor, but there was a dampness about them and a smell in the garage. So I pulled them out, cleaned them and coated them with epoxy resin. Now I have successfully used epoxy to repair motorcycle fuel tanks in the past, so I thought should be OK. And it worked perfect until................two weeks ago I put a small amount (15 litres) of E10 fuel in each tank. I found the car ran quite well on this fuel as it is 94 RON. Yesterday I noticed a fuel smell in the garage. Today I had leaks all over the floor from both tanks.
I have drained the tanks and now will have to replace these short lines. Does anyone know if the lines are available (series 1)? Otherwise a contact for someone who can reproduce them in Sydney NSW please.
No more alcohol for this little girl.
