I have a 1988 xj6 and it cranked fine when I purchased it. Got home I cranked it a few times and discovered that the battery needed to be replaced. So I replaced the battery now it want crank, not turning over at all. Im assuming its something fairly simple but after doing some research there's nothing simple about these cars. Some help will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

 

Sorry to have to tell you, but you've posted in the wrong forum. You'll get a better response in the XJ40 forum. Engine of the XJ40 is completely different to the Series 3, although both are sixes.
