Question Oxygen Sensor Replacement Bosch 11027

Installed the upstream Oxygen sensor on the SIII yesterday. I used the Bosch 11027 and it seems to work perfectly. Got it on Amazon for $30 CAN. delivered. I will install the O2 sensor ground strap today.

A note of interest, on removing the existing sensor (it was not the original) I noticed that the sensor lead had been pinched under a brake line and the insulation chafed through revealing 1/2" of bare wire, probably arcing to ground. I believe this was the main cause of my intermittently rough idle. The removed sensor is probably just fine!

Can this sensor be used in the "downstream" location as a replacement? If so I will change it also. I'm on a roll!

You have...or should have... only a single oxygen sensor

Cheers
