Default Parking brake cable - pivot bolt

Hello,

Been working on my 87 XJ6, looks like it ran over something that scraped the bottom on the driver side. The pivot bolt (for the bellcrank that works the parking brake cable) under the driver floorpan was bent from the impact. It also appears that there was something riveted on in this area, but all that is left are the rivets.

Was there a guard plate or something to cover the cable and linkage in this area under the floorpan? If anyone could post a picture, that would help.

Thanks everyone!

Brian

I don't have a picture but, yes, there was a sheet metal shield used to cover the mechanism.

Cheers

Thank you Doug, I will add that to the list for when I head to the Pick N Pull.
