Default Petrol tank

to convert a series 3 tank (which has three exit points, 1 to engine, 1 to vapour filter, 1 to return pile) back to a series 2 or carburetor-type tank what sort of plugs, gaskets or whatever do I need to safely plug the vapour and return outlets on the tanks?

You cannot block the vapor outlet. Due to expansion your tank might pop without an expansion outlet.

Basically what you need to do is block the return and that's it.

Doesn't really matter how you do it. Just make sure it is watertight. You could just plug the hose with a bolt and clamp it with a hoseclamp .

didn't the earlier take lack a vapor escape outlet at the top? thought they just have the one-way out to the engine? how was gas pressure vented on the pre-EFI tanks?
