Default Possible disaster but not so much

Heard a Big Bang last night in garage went running out there thinking someone had broken in, but nope, all looked normal, door closed, opener light was off, passed it off as maybe surround sound of the movie I was watching.....This morning I went out there to grab some tools for work and noticed this.....

Damned previous homeowner didn’t hit a stud when he hung the shelf

Of course after seeing that I looked down and ........

Arrrggghhhh

pulled car out and saw this....

Nothing!!! I let out a massively audible sigh of relief!!

floor will be fine once it all dries and I attack it with a scraper as it latex paint

Needless to say, this weekend I will be removing all previous homeowner shelving in garage!!!!

Glad you were able to back out of that with no damage. It’s funny because I was in my garage earlier this evening looking at my dark green 73 VW Beetle and the 5 gallon container of dark green paint on the floor right next to it and leftover from painting my house a few months ago. I thought “I better move that, but at least it’s roughly the same color.” I didn’t move it and now I think I need to go back to the garage and figure someplace else to put it ...

Serious bullet evasion !!!

there are methods to remove mere house paint from auto paint. From my former profession, I recall paint overspray claims. Some valid and others, not so much.

A decade or so ago, an aerosol can of red "exploded" ! blobs of rec got on my Jaguar in the garage. I got the blobs off with nary a trace remaining.

Can't blame a PO for the shelves in my garage. I hung them. So far, solid....

Spent most of Saturday removing shelving, what a nightmare, not only were none on studs, it was all just plastic rawl plugs with flat head screws!!! Ugh
