Been there, done that, Darren, I don't envy you this task.
This is one of those places where it seems Jaguar set out to make repairs as difficult as possible. If there was a hard way, they found it. If there wasn't one, they invented one. I mean, how Stupid is it to have to remove the pedal in order to change the booster?!!

The job wasnt too bad actually, i left master cylinder attached to brake lines, and removed seat base and had tons of room!! took just over an hour, , i agree though, its a **** poor design!!
hopefully not a job i have to do again any time soon! the older i get the harder it is to work in those tight spots! I think it may be time to trade in some of teh older tools and move up to date! namely my drop light, with all the led stuff now there is no reason for my to keep burning my elbow!!!

Husband got tired of burning his elbows (and other things) on drop lights before I came here. He replaced them with magnetic florescent lights, that are still too warm in Summer, but don't burn body parts at contact.
They're STILL in your eyes though, no matter What position you try to use them.
Sometimes, in Really tight places, I put one of those 9 element flashlights in my mouth. If I can get my head in a tight place, I have light to work.

Lights!!!!
1. My drop light, even with the curly CFL hangs on my shop wall. Very dusty. Hasn't been used in....
2. My old tubed CFL was always feeble and saw little use. Hanging there as well.
3. Two flash lights do the job for me. One old fashion bulb two D cell and one smaller LED unit with a couple of C cells. Either beat 1. or 2. all to pieces.
4. Toward the back of my junk part of my bench is an ancient metal flash light. Intended to be restored as nostalgia. Where the oil lamps and vibrator ignition coils are!!
5. I watch American Pickers from time to time as they seek treasure among amazing collections of great stuff or mere trash. Each of the two guys use a small flashlight held in mouth as they climb around dusty barns and sheds.
6. I've thought of a miners lamp at times....
Jaguar relay rack redo in progress. Marking them for ID a bit of a stumbling block. Sharpies don't come in white. A Whitout pen is messy. Paper address labels too durn old, no stick. I will look in my old stuff for better ones, I hope.

It has a smooth surface, takes Sharpie well and if a length is stuck to its own sticky side around a wire or a tube, it stays there almost as longs as, well, we've never had one fall off; which is sometimes a problem if you actually Want it off.
This is what I used to label the wires in my console, spark plug wires off the distributor, even parts that are relatively clean.
It works better to write while the tape is still on the roll though.
Lowe's has it, probably Home Depot too, or maybe even your local hardware store.
