Rear brake drags

The rotors have been taken apart and cleaned out. Then the caliper bore was very lightly honed, and new o-rings installed. The pistons were cleaned and polished with fine steel wool. so I know that they aren't seizing. I think that if I put .010" behind the rotor it should center it up. This is what Ken Kesey would have called "the current fantasy".

Not necessarily a true indicator. Suppose the front wore them that way and the PO swapped them to the rear to get a few more miles out of them. A crude rotation scheme if you will.
As the car is still together, put a bubble level on the wheels. Best if within the rim so as to eliminate tire shape. An indication of camber, not a measure. Merely +, 0 or -.
Off to mess with misconnected relay???

When we got the car, the tires hadn't been on long enough to even have the rubber whiskers worn off! True, that might have been one reason the PO installed new tires, or to mask the hinky tie rod end which allowed it to wander from one ditch to the other, but there definitely weren't enough miles to justify that kind of wear if the alignment was correct.
Husband bought an alignment checker which I'll try out when I get to it. First I'm changing lights in the console.

The shims to center the rotors are on their way! They should be here tomorrow. As soon as I get that little chore done, I'll be able to level the car on jack stands and set the camber the camber. Doug, you seem pretty knowledgeable about suspension, so perhaps you can tell me how many degrees of rear tow in I need.

Hmmmm. I've never seen a specification for rear toe-in....probably becuase it is non-adjustable on these cars. I suspect it is intended to be zero, however.
There are some shims that *look* like toe adjusting shims....but they're actually used for assembly of the rear suspension, not suspension geometry.
Rear camber should be .75º negative, +/- .25º
Cheers
