Default S57 Wiring Diagram

Hey yall, since JagCad has told me about the s57 wiring diagram ive been doing some digging but it seems like a pretty elusive item to find. I was wondering if anyone had any links for purchase or pdf files they wouldn't mind sharing. I've looked through the "How To" for the link posted by Doug but both links that lead to Mediafire were no longer up as well as older links relating to the s57 diagram. I currently own one of the service manuals that includes the a wiring diagram but the text is hard to read and the schematics are a bit confusing (unless I'm just dumb). I'm currently trying to find a color coded schematic for the ignition coil, any info will help.

Thanks & Cheers

There is a link on Forum member Jose's website:

It's probably available other places as well. I have seen it as S57 as well as S-57.

Also, there is a guy in Australia who has laboriously created full color wiring diagrams that he sells in pdf format. I understand they are great but don't have them myself. The S57 diagrams have codes for the various wire colors. I always print out the page at the front with the codes and have it right there while I am studying the appropriate diagram. Also, you can print out the diagram you need and mark it with a pencil to show the wire colors (in English) so when you are standing on your head under the dashboard you have it right there.

The wiring diagrams are not that complicated. The basic electricity stuff you learned in high school and just tracing the circuits to find the "path" will do the trick 99% of the time. If you forgot the high school stuff it's readily available on the web.

You do have a multimeter and 12v test light, right?

Jeff

Can't beat Doug and Jose as to generosity. What a deal...

I'm with Jeff as to it's use but mine is old tech. Paper in plastic sleeves and in a 3 ring binder.
But, I do copy a page r two to use in the car. Greasy fingers..

Mine came curtesy of past lumper. Bob Loftus A J-L guy way back when...

I've never seen such clear and understandable publication... More than the mere wire paths...

Although my car is a lump and has a lot of GM electrics, it is still mostly Jaguar...

Carl.
