Default Shock replacement

Hi everyone. How easy is it to change the shocks of my 79 series 2. Struts. Is it a fairly simple bolt on and off procedure?

You have shocks, not struts

The front are the same as most any other car. The rears require removal of the springs so there's more work involved

These should help give you a feel for the task, then post back if you have more questions

Rear Shock And Spring Replacement

That's great many thanks. Maybe I will start with the front and see how it goes. Recommendations on Brand? Was Boge the original one?

I recently did the fronts. Remarkably easy. Make sure to order new shock bushings for the uppers if they don't come with the shocks. I bought fairly cheap ones from SNG Barratt part CAC9089B and have been very satisfied.

Two in the front and 4 in the back. Did it myself last night. Thx for all the tips. Made a big difference very happy I did it.
