Shuddering under light acceleration
I have a 1974 SII XJ6, it shudders under light acceleration, I have changed the Plugs, tuned and balanced the Carbs, and made sure the trans fluid and final drive oil is at the correct levels. Where do I look next? could it be an ignition thing? it doesnt vibrate when coasting or under heavy acceleration. Thank you for any assistance.

Welcome to the forum nzpete81,
I've moved your question from New Zealand Region to XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum. The model forum is the place to post technical questions about your vehicle.

Obviously you're thinking the shudder is engine roughness....but could you be feeling a shudder in the drive train? Such as a broken transmission mount or U-Joint failing?
