Hi Sir as shown below my tail light colours don't match up. It's a reddened smoked tail light and guess there's a coloured plastic part making the lights illuminated, red , white or yellow. But mine is mixed up, how do you reckon I go about removing it.

Best to ask in the "XJ40" section as this section cover the earlier cars.

As long as we're here, though, it appears the rear lamps are a complete assembly. I suspect you'll find the "fixing knobs" in the boot/truck that can be removed to allow the lamps to be pulled off the car
