Hi people, we are seriously looking to give some positive recognition to some of our very active and knowledgeable members, who give lots of their time to reply to the myriad technical questions.


These are the people who are not Certified Jaguar Technicians, but who have years of experience and knowledge that they are always willing to share with others.


Whilst we cannot give them the ‘Tech Certified’ badge, we would like to give them a title that recognizes their invaluable input to this Forum.


Please will you help with choosing the title for these members?

This is for the benefit of all members of the forum, you will be able to see at a glance that the person that you are dealing with has the experience to answer your questions.


It is also some small way to give recognition and say thank you to these selfless members.

I like this idea. Even though I have only owned a Jaguar for a few months, I have invested countless hours reading about and working on the car. What I have found is that if someone actually performs a task on their Jaguar, they can provide tips and tricks to doing that task to others in a more efficient way.

For example, I just finished installing new fuel tanks. Let me tell you... there is quite a bit even the service manual does not explain. If I had to do it again, I already know what obstacles await and their remedy. Those are the types of experiences that can be shared on this site. The above title does fit these types of members.

Maybe in a sticky at the top of the page people can list the projects they have completed on their car personally and can then be a source to help others.
