Default What fuel pump to buy

Hi All: I need to replace the fuel pump on my '86" XJ6. The problem is that I see prices from $90 to about $200. Im not looking for cheap as much as I want reliability. Could really benefit from your experience. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

Hard to beat the original Bosch pump for reliability and longevity. Twenty-year or longer life spans are not unusual; I'm sure some Series IIIs are still on the same pump they were born with.

The unknown, of course, is whether or not they're still being manufactured to the standard they were 30 years ago.

I'll just add that dirty fuel (rust, commonly) will dramatically shorten pump life

Cheers
DD

I bought this one. It looks exactly like the OE one I removed.
