Allright, I was disappointed roughly a week ago. In an old barn not far from my home relatively speaking I found a 1968 Jaguar XJ6. I do not own the oldest Dutch Jaguar XJ6 and the chances are there is more than 1 car older than mine.
The barn itself had everything I could ever dream of inside. If heaven really is a place on earth, this is it. I'll list below what I found, unfortunately no pictures. I went there to buy a coupe but we couldn't agree on it.
1 Jaguar XK120 sat for over 30 years and hasn't driven since. No paint, but most parts were there.
1 Jaguar series 1 E-type he raced on a racetrack. Has also sat for a long time.
1 Jaguar XJC broadspeed replica
1 Jaguar XJ12C in good shape
1 Jaguar XJC in bad shape, sills are not properly mounted to the body
1 Jaguar S-type in unknown shape
1 Daimler Double Six series 1 (v12 with carburettors!)
1 Jaguar XJ6 series 1 from 197x
1 Jaguar XJ6 series 1 1968
1 Jaguar XJ series 1 unknown
1 Jaguar XJ6 series 3 badly rotten, outside
1 Jaguar XJS V12 MANUAL! Will drive away in 4th gear haha
1 Daimler 420 (not familiar with this car)
1 Jaguar 420
Another E-type somewhere
Next door there was 5 more vehicles: 1 coupe V12, 3 Jaguar XJ6's series 1 I think, and a series 3.
The owner is a collector. The cars are not in the greatest shape, no pristine perfect cars that will drive out fine. But I loved it. haha It was a great experience.

Have been away for two weeks. I included a picture of what the car looked like when I got it, and what it's like now. Also the donor engine and transmission. The entire car will be repainted Sable most likely.

Here's a link to the oldest XJ ( 2.8 auto - pre launch model)on Facebook - I'm in regular contact with the owner - a beautiful car and he has photos of the car dating back to pre-launch, complete with "disguise" when it was taken to Spain for a photoshoot before the launch.

Wow. If you have not checked out the link above you really should (you don't need to have a Facebook account to just look at it). That car was the magazine photo shoot car for Jaguar in 1968 and they show the covers of the many magazine covers it was featured on back then and again this year. Imagine having lots of professionally shot photographs of your car when it was new. That car is a true Cover Girl. Like being married to a supermodel.
