I just realised I made a mistake on my last post. I should have written: -

1. 1. The injector pulse is not widening to match an input from the MAF

Many years ago I had a very similar problem with my 1980 XJ6. I would press on the throttle and nothing would happen ! Eventually the car would hobble forward and we got home every time. I took the car to an injection specialist, (this is the 80s so Bosch techies were still around). On picking the car up I asked what the problem was and was told the MAF needed re-setting. I have to say also that they did clean the injectors too.

See, I'm wondering if the injectors aren't doing their job. I'm going to remove them and see if I can get it cleaned up.
