Default Wiper Leak

Leaking into interior via the wiper mount holes of all things, did these originally have rubber seals under the chrome cap? if not, what sort of gromet or seal best?

yes, all wiper shaft caps have gaskets between the chromed cap and the body.

if you cannot get new ones, cut your own from any thin (1/32nd) material.

use the outer edge of the cap as a template for the oval shape.

looks like Australia cars used two gaskets per cap.

Thanks-
manually cut rubber rings one for top and one for under neath and replaced the rubber tube around the base of the wiper rotor (might have been a home repair by another owner I think, looking at it)
Lot of water got in under the seals, need a storm to test now.
