Default XJ6 BRAKE Info

Hello fellow Jaguar Series 3 people, Merry Christmas. I have a leaky driver side caliper. Also, somehow my clear plastic resivour that holds brake fluid is broken. Is that plastic part pretty easy to replace? I bet the caliper is beyond me, unfortunaltely. What is a reputable and inexpensive part supplier?

I've used Coventry West for years 800-331-2193.Good outfit, ask for Pete Bond. A pal of mine got some nice r/b calipers for his Jag from www.rockauto.com

The plastic fluid reservoir is easy to replace.

Cheers
DD

I just bought the Master Cyl Reservoir off your ebay store. I took a gamble on my caliper. For 47 dollars (including shipping) I have been promised a clean and functioning, double tested caliper off a 1984 XJ6. Driver's front, perfect Exactally what I need! I hope I did not get suckered by an inexpensive price. If so, I got a core for 47 bucks...

Personally, I'm sure Ken will stand by it. Motorcars Ltd. has a good reputation.

I'll bet the caliper will fix it all. If you're leaking on the left side, only the right side is grabbing. It trys to brake the front of the car and pulls it to the right.
