I just changed my pressure regulator and put an aftermarket one on, and it was running great but it had no power at 3k rpm, when it got hot it wouldn't want to go at all. Now I'm sitting in it and driving it cold it won't accelerate, just wants to stall, before I'd turn row pressure down and there wouldn't be a problem but it would have no power, I'm also getting a petrol smell in the cab every once in a while.

 

I'm only two sips into my first cuppa coffee but it sounds like a fuel pressure/fuel delivery problem.

A fuel pressure gauge would be really helpful here.

You want 36 psi while cranking the engine.

Do you think it might be my head gasket. I have done a lot of adjustments to the regulator and used the pressure gadge. I have foam in my expansion bottle, Moisture coming out the exhaust, black soot out of exhaust which is not as common after changing the pressure regulator, loss of power and losing water daily. Oil leaking which I thought was the tappet cover, but I fixed it but still leaking oil. When I fixed my tappet cover it ran beautifully, but can't explain it. But won't even drive this evening. Absolutely no power
