Hey, guys.
I am fitting a Jag front end to my truck (I know, sorry) And on the shaft I am fitting a 48 spline universal joint which mates to a 3/4 DD shaft (and then to an aftermarket ididit column) My question is, does anyone know the size of that 48 spline shaft. you can buy them in 3/4 and 1 inch sizes, but I am not sure which one I need. any help will be muchly appreciated.

Ah, yeah. Figured it out.
I need the 3/4" 48 spine

 

Does anyone know the spline size of the other end of the intermediate shaft? (the shaft end closest to the steering column) It appears to be 36 spline, but is not 3/4 or 5/8
Any ideas?

If you mean the lower steering column splines,

These are 5/8 inch diameter.
It's too early for me to count splines, but they mate Exactly with the upper column of both S2 and S3 cars.

Mine looks a bit different. Its out of an 80 model xj6 series III but very similar to left unit.
