Default XK engine dimensions or CAD-files.

Hi,

I should need to know the outer dimensions of an 4,2 litres XK engine, is anyone in possession of drawings or maybe even CAD-files?
Second best would be to just know length and height. Height from oil pan bottom to valve covers, for example.

Ronny,

Now I've worked out from your Intro that you want information on the 6 cylinder XK 4.2 engine, I've moved your post from General Tech Help to XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for advice from members with this engine.

Hi Ronny, welcome aboard. Sadly enough, I had always intended to laser scan the XK engine and the bare engine bay. The scans are easy to convert to Inventor and make 3D models of. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job done.

Hopefully someone here will have some dimensions for you.

I do have a complete 3D model of a small block Chevy if that's any consolation!?

Thanks Paul, I appreciate it. I am looking for an engine, but for now there are no for sale in Sweden. My purpose is to squeeze it in a home built car, a roadster in 1930:s style. Not yet built, I am just planning it. My concern is that the 4,2 engine may be too tall to give proper proportions. The parts I have obtained so far is a 4 speed Jaguar gearbox with overdrive and 4 wire wheels, 6,5x15" from a Morgan +4.

I have an almost complete 3D-model of a Chevy SB, but of course I am curious about yours. I send you a message!
